About Us

       They both grew up in Pagnol and Cezanne's backyard, and have known each other for over half a century. Laurence left France forty years ago and moved to California where she pursued a career in education. She still teaches --while she is not traveling-- at various institutions to all ages and every levels: from kindergarteners to undergrad students at a local university and everything in between. Marido stayed in Provence and became an artist. She dedicates her life to art, painting in her studio over looking the Garlaban, attending art shows around the world and teaching art therapy. 

Their invigorating passion for living, their complementary skills and the long lasting friendship are their strength and contribute to their success.      

       "France Food & Friends is our way to celebrate our beautiful country, and share with you our passion for food, art history, architecture and travel. We invite you to join us, and be ready to experience the French Joie de Vivre full blast.  Together, we'll travel in style according to your pace, and wishes. Marido will be your private chauffeur as well as your cultural guide. I'll be your translator, and tour coordinator. Along the way, you'll meet incredible people: artisans, innovative chefs, fellow travelers to name a few. We'll go back in time, stroll through narrow streets from towns dating back to the Middle Ages or even Antiquity. You'll experience real French Cuisine from a simple bakery, or a bistro, to Michelin star restaurants, and stay in luxurious hotels."
